Winter Concert, Sunday, 24th November 2019
Dunblane Cathedral @ 7.30pm
A fabulous evening of music awaits as Kevin Duggan conducts Rosenethe Singers in an a cappella performance of Frank Martin Mass for Double Choir, and Johann Sebastian Bach Jesu, Meine Freude.
This is your chance to enjoy beautiful, shimmering music by one of the 20th century's great composers, Frank Martin (1890-1974). Influenced by JS Bach, Martin was born in Geneva and spent much of his life in the Netherlands. His masterpiece, Mass for Double Choir, was written between 1922 and 1926 but hidden until its premiere in 1963.
